My partner and I just recently adopted our sweet cat from here and we could not be more happy with the support and interaction we received from staff here, especially Brandi and Lex! After the passing of my soul cat, I was sure I wasn’t ever going to get another cat until I locked eyes with my sweet boy from here. It was heavenly orchestrated because we’re the best of friends. I’m glad I got him from the DFW humane society, as I happened to come across this place randomly. All the staff is so friendly and kind and inspired me to walk out with this fur baby. They neuter and give all the vaccines to the cats and make sure they are well taken care of, and I love that. I had a st patty’s special that day and I pulled him out of a hat for free essentially. It was meant to be ✨ I want to get another cat friend for him, eventually and hopefully some are available. When the time comes I’ll come again 😊

I recently adopted my cat Tigger from DfW Humane Society. The staff were friendly, very helpful and answer all my questions. Tigger was rather shy and hid a bit the first day or so. But, he quickly settled in with no problems. He’s extremely affectionate and loves to play. He’s very curious and likes to investigate everything LOL 😂 Tigger is one of a kind and I’m so glad I adopted him. Actually he picked me ♥️ iykyk

I adopted "Misha Von Fluff n Stuff" from here about 14 years ago. She recently passed away, and what a great 14 years we had. We walked over ten thousand miles together. Later in life, she got a family and was loved by so many people! I will be forever thankful to the DFW Humane Society staff for helping me find such a wonderful companion. "I am in tears as I carry you to your final resting place, just as I rejoiced when I brought you home in my own hands"

DFW Humane Society is a fantastic shelter that shares its space with Irving Animal Care Campus, and together, they do an amazing job caring for animals in need. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and full of friendly staff and volunteers who genuinely care about the pets. One of the highlights here is the cat room, where you can interact with the cats before adoption. Some roam freely, while others are in their crates, making it a great way to get to know their personalities.
